Our lively 6th form offers a personalised, innovative and stimulating post-16 experience. We offer a wide range of opportunities to gain qualifications and develop first class skills for employment and further study. This is done through a variety of avenues.

When choosing where to go for my next steps of education, I wanted to be somewhere that would push me to be better but also allow me to be myself. Throughout my journey I have taken part in award ceremonies, dance showcases, events around the school and became Deputy Head of House to the Sapphire team. At HS6, the teachers will guide and push you to be the best and allow you to take part in exciting events that will lead you to a pathway of endless opportunities.

The highlight of my time at HS6 has been the support and encouragement from my teachers and the opportunities it has provided me with. I feel that I can be confident in all my subjects due to the high quality of teaching, great organisation and supportive environment. This school has offered various opportunities that has helped me improve my skills such as becoming deputy head of house and volunteering at school events. We are also provided with excellent resources that will help with deciding one's next steps whether it be university or another path by creating trips to university fairs and inviting outside speakers to talk about apprenticeships, personal statements and UCAS applications.

My time at Hendon Sixth Form has been enjoyable and fulfilling, I have had a quality education whilst also being prepared for life beyond school. At HS6, I feel genuinely supported through sense of belonging, along with a highly motivating and positive environment. The staff are committed to ensuring that us students can reach our full potentials, this has pushed me to aim higher and work harder towards my goals. In addition, I feel that I have gained greater clarity on my future through the vast resources provided by the school, surrounding universities, career paths and alternative options. Finally, being at HS6 has also provided me with opportunities to develop essential professional skills through being a part of the house team, volunteering at various in school events and going on work experience.

Key Stage 5

Being a student at Hendon since Year 7, the transition from Year 11 to HS6 was smooth sailing. I’m able to enjoy the subjects I picked for my A-Level Journey and feel comfortable asking for help from teachers I knew beforehand. The environment at HS6 is not like anything I’ve encountered before. With facilities solely for sixth formers, I’m able to discipline myself in revision in private study as well as look forward to relaxing with my friends in the common room.
