HS6 Dress Code
At HS6 we believe it is important to prepare students for life after school, including understanding the importance of personal presentation at work. The expectation is that all students should attend school appropriately dressed for a working environment.
- Tailored trousers, smart chinos, skirt or dress of a suitable length
- Leggings worn with a longer top or skirt
- Blouse, shirt, tailored top or plain t shirt
- Jumper, cardigan or smart sweatshirt
- Smart leather shoes or boots, or all black trainers
- HS6 lanyard clearly visible
Unacceptable dress includes:
- Clothing with offensive slogans
- Jeans, shorts or combats
- Trainers that are not all black, converse style canvas shoes, flip-flops, Uggs
- Hoodies, including ‘leavers’ hoodies
- Revealing clothing including crop, strapless or backless tops
- Tracksuits and sports gear
- Hats or caps on school premises
We expect that students will adhere to these rules as part of their wider responsibility to the school community and to set a good example for the younger students. If a student arrives wearing an item that is not allowed they will be asked to remove it where possible, otherwise parents will be contacted and students sent home to change.
