Applying to HS6 Internal Application

External Applicants

External applicants will be expected to complete the Sixth Form Application Form which is available to download below and then needs to be emailed to hs6admissions@hendonschool.co.uk. We offer a rolling application process, meaning students are welcome to apply at any time of year, although the majority of applications are received in January/February, when students have received their mock results.

Once the application form is received you will be contacted to acknowledge receipt and to arrange an interview with a member of the Sixth Form Leadership Team

Following GCSE results day, external candidates will need to attend an enrolment interview with a member of the Sixth Form staff team during the first week of the Autumn Term.   At this interview, please bring with you your GCSE results slip.   In addition, external students will also need to bring photo ID and completed application form with reference. Without these documents we will not be able to complete your enrolment and confirm your place. You will also need to arrange for the transfer of your previous school/college records to Hendon Sixth Form.

For further information please contact: hs6admissions@hendonschool.co.uk

Internal Applicants

We warmly welcome back our current year 11 students in HS6. You will need to meet the entry requirements for each of the courses that you wish to study and must have had good behaviour and attendance in lower school.   During the Spring Term, after mock results day, all students will complete an application form.   To help them through this process, internal applications will be guided by their tutors and our IAG coordinator as to what are appropriate KS5 course subjects and combinations.   Students will then be interviewed by a member of the Sixth Form and Senior Leadership Team.   A conditional offer will be made based on students achieving the required grades and sufficient numbers of students on the course.

On GCSE results day, students with the grades needed for their chosen courses will be able to fast track enrol. Students not meeting the entry requirements or wanting to change courses will need to attend an enrolment interview. Enrolment times and dates for students needing interviews will be posted on the school’s website. These interviews will take place during the last week of the summer holidays. Students will need to bring their GCSE results slips to this interview.  In addition, external students will also need to bring photo ID and completed application form with reference.
